UPDATE REGARDING MAY EMT COURSE!
The Ohio Division of EMS notified EMS education programs that they will allow the start-up of new courses. The May EMT course is back on! We will make the following adjustments: The course start date will be moved to May 26, 2020. The end date will remain August 24, 2020. The course will begin online using ZOOM and transition to the classroom after it is safe to do so. Psychomotor skills beginning in June will be conducted with small groups utilizing appropriate physical distancing.
Courses will be conducted via ZOOM and transition to the classroom after it is safe to do so. There is no cost for the student to use ZOOM.
An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth
A webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in
Or, HD cam or HD camcorder with video capture card
EMT Course - Available as a Web Assisted-Hybrid* or Classroom Course
Begins: September 8, 2020 to December 17, 2020
Tue/Thur 6:00pm to 9:30pm (Classroom)
*The web assisted-hybrid course requires physical attendance in the classroom to complete lab / practical skills, Module exams and the Final exam.
*Attendance is approximately 14 times throughout the 4 month program on a Tuesday or Thursday evening class.
*Students are required to complete clinical time in the pre-hospital environment at a department or agency that has an affiliation agreement with the program. *These agencies are generally located within a 60-mile radius of the program campus.
Paramedic Course - Available as an Web Assisted-Hybrid* or Classroom Course
Begins: August 24, 2020 Ends: June 25, 2021
Mon/Wed in classroom 6:00pm to 9:30pm

-ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY PRE-REQUISITE
Students must complete an Anatomy and Physiology course as a prerequisite for admission into the Paramedic program. Students who have already completed the course should submit transcript showing a grade "C" or above. Students who have not already completed an A&P course may enroll in the COEMST program. Our program consists of 45 hours of video content. Students are required to complete worksheets and other assignments.
The course will be held online from July 27, 2020 through August 21, 2020.
