ADVANCED EMT

An Advanced EMT (AEMT), also known as an EMT-Intermediate, is a mid-level provider of pre-hospital emergency medical services. The Advanced EMT has completed the requirements for the EMT level, as well as instruction in more advanced medical procedures, such as administering intravenous fluids and some medications. *Textbook is digital in the form of an E-Book. Students who prefer a paperback book may purchase the text at their own expense. The digital package is included in the tuition.

 
Prerequisites: 
- State ID
- Current Ohio EMT certification
- Current BLS CPR Card
- Current BCI
- Current Drug Screen
- Current vaccines or titers (see below for complete list)

-Students who have a valid exemption to the Covid vaccine may contact the program to discuss alternative clinical     arrangements


 

Steps To Enrollment

 

Application Procedure: A completed application and payment of the $150.00 non-refundable application

    fee must be submitted. Applications must be downloaded then mailed or emailed back to the program.

     - Application fee may be paid via check or money order and mailed to 20 Industrial Dr, St F    

        Lexington, Oh 44904. 

     - Let us know if you want to pay by credit card and we'll email you an invoice. There is a 3%

       fee. 

After program acceptance but at least one week before the start date, submit the following:

  • BCI Check

  • Personal professional liability insurance-  $1,000,000 each claim, up to $3,000,000 aggregate professional liability coverage (Most students use a company called HPSO)

  • Non-Dot drug screen (10-Panel) (less than 6 months old)

  • NIMS IS 100-b and IS 700-a

  • Measles -Mumps-Rubella -Good for 10 years

  • Varicella- Vaccine or Titer

  • HbV OR HbV Titre if last HBV more than 1 year old

  • Two-step TB (PPD) Required Annually; Must be current during school

  • Influenza Vaccine - Required Annually; Must be current during school

  • Tdap -Good for 10 years

  • Covid vaccine- First vaccine accepted but will require proof of second vaccine within accepted time period. Valid exemptions will be reviewed.
